Colleagues,

We are excited to bring you another issue of The Arizona Pulse. The summer issue focuses on the Arizona healthcare community and advocacy.

We provide you with an update on advocacy efforts that took place during Arizona’s 54th Legislative Session and how organizations are Improving care within their community. We take a look at how telemedicine will impact access to care and how a group of medical students is helping care for Phoenix’s homeless population. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the Arizona Medical Association’s 128th President and celebrate those who were honored with the 2019 Healthcare Awards last month.

The issue closes with a look at the importance of advocacy within the physician community and pathways to success.

We want to thank all of those who contributed to this summer issue and hope you find the articles both educational and informative.

Sincerely,

Kathryn Coan, MD, and Michael Hamant, MD
